The ALA Student Chapter (ALASC) is the official St. Catherine University MLIS Program student chapter of the American Library Association. We prepare MLIS students to become active, creative members of the LIS profession by creating opportunities for students to make professional contacts and develop new skills, promoting involvement in professional activities outside of the classroom, and providing a local forum for the exchange of ideas and information relevant to LIS.

We meet once a month during the school year to plan programs, social events, and service projects to support members' development as LIS professionals and to keep you updated with ALA and MLIS happenings. We hope you'll join us.
